Funny, I have not done a Currently post since May when my oldest was about to go on summer break. Now, here we are in September and he's already completed the first day of school. It seems like it was the quickest summer ever!
Here's what I'm up to this month
I'm not much of anything these days. I still haven't found any book to get excited about that will make me slow down to get into. But I have been listening to several podcasts lately.
Podcasts. I can listen to them on my commute to and from work. I'm actually listening to one while I'm typing this blog posts. My favorites are:
"cjLIVE is an exploration of creativity, self-discovery, entrepreneurship, hard earned lessons, and so much more. I sit down with the world’s top creative entrepreneurs and thought leaders and unpack actionable, valuable insights to help you live your dreams in career, hobby, and in life."
"Join Kid Fury and Crissle for their weekly podcast covering hip-hop and pop culture's most trying stars. Throwing shade and spilling tea with a flippant and humorous attitude, no star is safe from Fury and Crissle unless their name is Beyoncé. (Or Blue Ivy.)"
Lore (Which is getting it's own TV show this Fall)
"Lore is an award-winning, critically-acclaimed podcast about true life scary stories."
"In each episode, host LeVar Burton (Reading Rainbow, Star Trek, Roots) hand-picks a different piece of short fiction, and reads it to you."
What are some of your favorite podcasts? I'd love to add more to my list.
My Birthday! I'm not really doing much to celebrate this year. We have a trip to Orlando scheduled at the end of the month and I plan to nerd out at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The first day of school. Sigh.....He's in 3rd grade now. His baby features have all but disappeared. He's is at the stage where he is not excited about the first day of school anymore. I was able to get one or two pictures of him and made a short back to school film.

I am fascinated with "The Legacy Project" Francesca Russell is doing right now. It's a project where she is documenting the story of her life with stories and pictures. the goal is to one day pass these stories down to her children so that they know more about here than just as their mom. There is a Facebook group where she shares her story and ways to join in on the project to make it your own. I cannot wait to get started on my own story.
Every year during my birthday month I set my goals for the next year. I take this time to reflect on things that happened this past year. I always do this in a place of gratitude, to appreciate things that work and appreciate the things I weeded out that didn't. This year, I'm focusing on being intentional in all aspects of my life. More on this in another blog post later.
So tell me, what are you currently doing in September
What have you been reading/watching/or listening to lately?
